Settings: Professional, no assists. Oh and we have sound, yes! Not the best quality but at least we have something! Gran Turismo 5 Build at GamesCom 2010 in Köln, Germany. Driving is done by Denur from GTPlanet of course! I used a simple Audio to Audio cable to record the sounds straight from the TV using my laptop and recorded the video with my Sony SD Camcorder. The TV sound there was set at MAX and yet you mostly couldn’t hear anything at all. I apologize for the angle of the video but I had to make sure both were at arms reach so I could operate both at the same time. Enjoy!

2009 Nascar Season Fast Approaching

Posted on August 30th, 2010 in Nascar by

The 2009 Sprint Cup season could be considered the commencement of a new era in NASCAR. Smaller fields, less sponsorship dollars to play with, a testing ban on all NASCAR sanctioned facilities, and of course, no Petty Enterprises all contribute to the new-look NASCAR . A plethora of changes define the upcoming season, but still the show must go on.

Who will win the 2009 Sprint Cup championship? It is difficult to project at this point. Well, not really. Jimmie Johnson is the odds-on favorite in Las Vegas, while Carl Edwards and Kyle Busch are solid picks as well. When most of the preview guides are released to the retailers in late-January, one of those three drivers will be the projected champion. A couple of dark horse picks may include Greg Biffle, Kevin Harvick, and Jeff Burton, all who performed well towards the tail end of the 2008 season.

How will Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman perform with the newly-formed Stewart Haas Racing? Now that is difficult to project at this point in time, and even after the season begins. It is likely that both drivers will win a race .or two, especially on one of the shorter tracks and possibly a restrictor plate track, but overall, they are in for a taxing transition. Both drivers could easily miss the Chase for the Championship. It could really go either way.

Who will win the 2009 rookie of the year award? It will come down to Joe Gibbs Racing’s teenage driver Joey Logano, and former Formula One driver Scott Speed, who is driving the Red Bull Racing entry. While Logano was the center of hype in 2008, it is time to see if he is the real deal. He inherits the third most winning ride of this decade. Only the 48 and 24 teams have more wins since 2000. Logano looked like a complete amateur in his handful of Sprint Cup starts last fall. Speed may come out on top. He was scrupulously developed at Red Bull Racing, and appears to be more seasoned. He also performed respectably in his handful of Sprint Cup starts.

Will Jeff Gordon and Matt Kenseth win a race? Both champions are sure to revisit a long lost love- that being victory lane. Gordon and Kenseth are two of the top five drivers in our sport, so expect them to rejoin the fraternity of winners in 2009. Kevin Harvick will also find victory lane in 2009.

Is there a former champion that may not win a race in 2009? Bobby Labonte is now a darkhorse after spending the latter stages of the 1990’s and early years in the 2000’s as a perennial championship contender. The 2000 champion has yet to sign on with another team after leaving Petty Enterprises. Unless Penske Racing resolves their dire performance issues, Kurt Busch may undergo his first winless season since 2001, his rookie season. As mentioned earlier, Tony Stewart could perhaps fail to win a race for the first time in his career, as he is not a car owner as opposed to just a driver.

Who is going to win their first career race in 2009? After no victory lane newbies in 2008, we should see a couple of first-time winners in 2009. David Ragan, A.J. Allmendinger, Joey Logano, and Scott Speed are solid candidates.

Who will emerge as the comeback driver of the year? Last year, it was Greg Biffle. This year, Martin Truex, Jr and Jamie McMurray are possibilities.

Fans, the next month and a half will fly by, so prepare yourself for a different NASCAR in 2009.

Sports Memorabilia Collection

Posted on August 30th, 2010 in Dale Earnhardt by

Fans acquire for other sports as well, such as NASCAR, golf, baseball, football, and basketball. These are life-like, life-sized reproductions of sports heroes that can be stuck to your wall. You should also see this memorabilia with sports card inside. Click here to see this Tristar Hidden Treasures Box Break for a unique and great idea. With all of the memorabilia that a fan can acquire, at times it’s commonplace to see folks becoming perplexed where to begin or how to start accumulating sports memorabilia. Accumulating any sports memorabilia or sports collectors items is an extremely personalized pastime that has significance based more on the collector’s likes and passions as much as the accomplishments of the individual athlete or team.

For those of us who want to buy a family member or a pal a gift that is connected to their preferred athlete, team, or sport, what do we search for? For starters, you may want to consider the New York Yankees. This baseball team is one of, if not the most popular baseball team in the earth, plus their rosters from past to present has been dotted with all-time greats. On the other hand, perhaps they are into NASCAR. Then you have Tony Stewart, Jimmy Johnson, and much more. We can not disregard the unforgettable Dale Earnhardt Sr. whose memorabilia have not only doubled but tripled right after his death, and seem to be growing in price even much more each year. NASCAR enthusiasts don’t only have a extensive assortment of autos to select from, they also can get Plush Bears created after the driver, autobiographies, yearbooks, key chains, lighters, plates, and much more. Even baseball memorabilia and sportscollectors items have broadened into the Christmas niche, with a wide choice of decorations for the tree and even the roof of your residence.

Furthermore, there are more of other sports greats as well, like Ben Roethlisberger, Shaquille O’Neil, and Nomar Garciaparra. Furthermore, let us not neglect the legendary Michael Jordan. Sports memorabilia enthusiasts might or might not have realized how much throwback jerseys have influenced sports memorabilia, but in 1980, when the major sports leagues began to sell both new and used game jerseys, the enthusiasts wanted even more.

Die-cast collectibles have also evolved. Of course we always have the sports collectors who will grab anything at all from a sketch of Tiger Woods to a vintage Los Angeles Lakers team photograph. Even the seven-time conqueror of the Tour de France, Lance Armstrong, has an extensive fan base for memorabilia and sports collectibles.

When it comes to the monetary value of the products you collect, don’t forget that the more celebrated the star, the more expensive the sports memorabilia will be. The worth of the product will shoot up even more if the authenticity can be verified in some way. Be cautious and don’t shed any goods similar to your sports collectible or sports memorabilia. These would include things like the original box, any correspondence or signatures, receipts, and so on. These will all aid to make the product a lot more valuable and collectible.

Now Tickets Have All Gone Vip!

Posted on August 30th, 2010 in Nascar Tickets by

Few women (or men, for that sake!) will turn you down if you have a pair of tickets to a good concert, a theatre event, or sporting event. Who would say “No” to an offer of a free night out?

If you are a man, looking to get that girl to finally go out with you, one of the quickest ways to do it is to find out what kind of music she likes, what band she adores, or the kind of theatre performance she might enjoy. Not only does buying those tickets show her you have paid attention to her style and her likes, but it also shows that you have a generosity streak – and that’s a good thing in a future boyfriend! Tickets to that Saturday concert will guarantee you a date on the weekend.

If you are a woman, you know what most men love – sports. Getting a guy to go on a date with you by letting him view your tickets to the next, best sporting event is like stealing candy from a baby. No man will turn you down if you have football tickets.

Throughout the year, there are always events to see. In January, tickets to movies are one of the most popular tickets to be had. Many much-awaited movies are released in late December to limited audiences and only open to the world at-large during the month of January. Now tickets are available for almost all of the movies that will be in the Academy Awards.

February and March bring opportunities in the United States to see Spring Training baseball, great basketball action, and of course the Super Bowl which usually falls on the first Sunday in February. Super Bowl tickets are almost impossible to get, but finding these will make you a friend for life. The next biggest event is the NCAA Championships, which is a series of 64 games leading to one final winner of the Final Four. This is one ticket you must get your hands on.

April and May are popular months for many sporting events tickets, including NASCAR, Major League Baseball, and the National Basketball Association. NASCAR is starting its first races, baseball season is just beginning, and the NBA is heading into the home stretch. Tickets for the Masters in Augusta, Georgia are also some of the hardest tickets to get your hands on.

During the summer months, concert tickets are generally in abundance as this is the season that most bands like to tour. June, July, and August are great months to hit concerts, festivals, and follow your favorite bands around the country. Tickets to these events are often not difficult to obtain, and are usually cheaper than the larger sporting events. In the warmer areas of the country, bands play mostly at outside amphitheatres – so bring a blanket, a bottle of wine, and your date.

September and October are great months to catch the last baseball games of the season, including the World Series. MLB playoff and World Series tickets are very hard to obtain, and if you do, they are extraordinarily expensive, but well worth the expense. Taking a date to the World Series is tantamount to a marriage proposal!November and December mean one thing only – football. Some teams have excess tickets, some teams even offer two-for-one tickets in the nose-bleeds – but wherever you sit, no date will turn that ticket down.

Wherever you buy your tickets – online or from a friend or even a scalper, make sure you get a good view of the tickets, and double-check them for accuracy. Nothing will kill a fun date more than counterfeit tickets!
