When are the winners selected and announced?

Applications are received throughout the existing year. The deadline for the application’s postmark can be no later than December 31st of that year. All applications will then be reviewed and considered by the Board of Directors at the Dale Earnhardt Foundation. The winner, or winners of the award, will be announced on April 29 ( Dale Earnhardt’s Birthday).

How will I receive my award?

If you are a winner you will be contacted about the award. Depending on the location of the recipient, arrangements will be made to receive your award here at Dale Earnhardt Inc. or shipping information will be obtained. You will be recognized in our social media outlets.

How must I use the Award?

If you are a scholarship recipient then you would receive the award in the form of a scholarship for higher education. Also if you, as an adult, would like to have your award go toward a particular student’s education we can make those accommodations. The monies will be held in an escrow account and sent to the school/college of your choice upon registration.

If you are from an organization, including non-profits, the monies would be a one time grant to go toward the progression of the already existing project or toward the planning and creating of your new and creative idea.

Can I re-apply if I didn’t win?

Yes. You can apply each year or you can send in multiple ideas with applications in the same year. Each idea must appear on a separate application form.
