The Dale Earnhardt Environmental Leadership Campus Lake is Filled

The Camp is Beginning to Take Shape

The Dale Earnhardt Environmental Leadership Campus in Iredell County, NC is continuing to expand and be developed. We are excited that the 25 acre lake is completed and ready for summer activities. Funding from the Dale Earnhardt Foundation made this dream become a reality. The campus is a training center for outdoor environmental and wildlife preservation. Girl Scouts, along with community organizations, will enjoy the campus for years to come.

Dale Earnhardt Environmental Leadership Campus

The Dale Earnhardt Environmental Leadership Campus is 700 sprawling acres of gently rolling hills full of oak trees, this property features spring-fed streams, bordered by the South Yadkin River for nearly two miles. In recognition of the Dale Earnhardt Foundation’s $2 million gift to support the development of the property, the campus is named the Dale Earnhardt Environmental Leadership Campus to honor the legendary NASCAR driver.

With a rich history between Mr. Earnhardt and the property, the Foundation wanted to give back to an organization that shares their philanthropic focus of Children, Education and Environmental/Wildlife Preservation.

This unique outdoor property offers girls, and the community, the opportunity to participate in camping, cooperation courses, hiking trails, archery, a 25-acre lake for swimming and boating and many other programs.
